Cascadura Coating offers non-stick coatings, such as a Teflon, which creates a low-friction surface, making it difficult for products to adhere to the manufacturing process, in addition to facilitating equipment cleaning. Halar/Tefizel are examples of coatings used against severe corrosion. Such coatings are applied to components in the fertilizer, chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical industries, among others.

How It Works

Non-stick coatings, technically known as fluoropolymers, are multilayer coatings based on fluorinated thermoplastic resins with a very low coefficient of friction and excellent non-stick properties, making them resistant to corrosion and providing thermal stability.

To transform and achieve non-stick and/or corrosion properties, they are applied as a paint and then cured in an oven at temperatures of around 400°C.

Due to the characteristic thermal cycles and their specific thermoplastic and chemical resistance, the microporosity of these coatings is very low. Therefore, its thermal stability is one of the highest in the range of fluorinated polymers and it also has excellent electrical insulation properties.

Certain coatings prevent the permeability of most acidic or alkaline chemical agents, reaching layer thicknesses of up to 1.00 mm.
